Maura L. Scott

Maura L. Scott is Assistant Professor of Marketing at Florida State University (Ph.D. Arizona State University, M.S. and B.S. Purdue University). Her research interests include over-consumption behavior, goal setting, self-regulation, and transformative consumer research. Her research has been published in leading marketing journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Business Research. She won an Honorable Mention for the JCR Robert Ferber Award, an ACR Transformative Consumer Research Grant, and an ACR-MSI Shopper Marketing Grant. Maura’s industry background includes marketing at 3M Company, the Dial Corporation, and Motorola. Maura is passionate about bringing both scholarly research and her industry experiences to the classroom.
